Just a word on rest days: we program them into the week for a reason - because we need them. We spend our time at the box beating ourselves up both physically and mentally, improving our fitness and ourselves. Much of the gains that we make happen afterwards, with proper fuel, good sleep, and time away; which is why we do not want you lifting anything very heavy on Thursdays (unless you are making up for a day missed during the week). Taking the rest day comes back to being able to complete the workouts with a high level of intensity which is one reason that CrossFit works. Make sure you are hitting each day and workout with as much intensity as you can. If you do, the results will follow and you will look forward to your well-deserved rest day. If you don't hit the workouts with the intensity, unless you have an injury or are ramping up, it's time to ask yourself why not.
We do however, encourage you to come in and work on skill and technique items if you have been in all week if there are certain things that you want to improve and you feel good!! Have a plan when you walk through the door, otherwise, that hour goes by all too quickly without having accomplished what you could have.
