Hope everyone had a great weekend!
There's been an article circulating from Huffington Post (Thanks Lauren M. for sharing!). The article goes on to discuss how sometimes being in the "now" moment during a WOD is all you can do to get through. Particularly during a long workout, as you read everything that you need to do (ie - Friday), you've probably asked yourself "How am I going to be able to do all this?" or more likely, "Are they f* kidding?" Hopefully, you then step back, and realize that you'll get through it movement by movement and rep by rep - focusing on what is in your 'now' space. One of the messages of Yoga is the same - focus on the present moment - bring your awareness to your current breath for it is the only thing that is truly in the present. There is so much more to both Yoga and CrossFit than just the physical benefits. Over time, as you practice each, you get stronger within yourself from a mental and emotional level as well. The physical is a given. You develop that "indestructible sense of well-being" that Ms. Henry refers to. Enjoy the read if you haven't already. Here's the link to the article-->"The Now of CrossFit"
