CrossFit Kids is not simply a scaled down version of CrossFit. It is entirely absolutely CrossFit geared and designed for a special population and the specific developmental needs (neurological, cognitive, and motor) of that population.
CrossFit Kids is a strength and conditioning program that is specifically designed for kids ages 5-9 to help them develop a lifelong love of fitness. In a group setting, children participate in fun and engaging workouts that deliver measurable results and prepare them to be well-rounded athletes.
CrossFit Tweens/Teens is a strength and conditioning program specifically designed for those aged 10+ to build strength, teach them the technique and power of the olympic lifts, and prepare them to be well-rounded athletes.
CrossFit Kids workouts consist of constantly varied, functional movements that deliver a fitness that is broad, inclusive and general and scalable for any participant at any level.
What Does This Mean?
This means that, for the most part, no two workouts are the same, so kids never get bored and the novelty of each workout keeps them excited about participating.
The functional movements involve exercises that are fundamental to all things that kids need to do when they play—pull, push, run, throw, climb, lift, jump, etc. All movements are taught safely and effectively under the close supervision of thoroughly trained CrossFit Kids Coaches.
Our workouts will increase physical competence in 10 General Physical Skills: Cardiovascular and Respiratory Endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy. Every single workout is scalable, so the benefits of the program can be seen from a child who is sedentary, all the way up to a young accomplished athlete.
We recognize we are helping to shape the child’s view of fitness for life, so most importantly, we have FUN!
When are the Classes?
Thursdays: 6:30-7:00pm (Ages 5-9); 7:00-7:30pm (Ages 10+)
How Much Does it Cost?
Try it out, the first class is free!
$75 for a 10-class punch card (sibling is $50)
How Do I Get Started?
Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested. Please RSVP your child to class (using the blue button on the left) once we are out 7 days prior to class. Please fill out and sign the waiver.
